    Matthew 13:20–21

13:20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 13:21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

13:20 The seed sown on rocky ground is the one who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 13:21 But since he has no root, he remains for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.

6:4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 6:5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age-
